So, over the past couple months I have been chipping away at my dearest friend’s wedding dress. This is the first project I’ve competed since graduating VCU for Fashion design in May of 2016. An ambitious undertaking to say the least. But if you’re going to go swimming (for the first time in a long, long time), I guess you’d better jump in the deepest water you can possibly find, am I right? So I couldn’t be more proud of the final product. This is a 100% silk gown, hand embroidered with custom lace appliqué, encrusted with Swarovski crystals one by one, and a 3.5 foot train. I loved making this dress and she looked stunning. And now..back to Tiny Home Building!
